I don’t even know how to start applying to college. What do I do?
Take a look at our Start Here page for more details on how to begin the college process. But here’s a quick summary of what you should do:
- Start looking at colleges
- Prepare for and take the SAT or ACT test
- Ask teachers and your guidance counselor for recommendations
- Talk to people with college experience (your guidance counselor, a College Guide if you have one, older friends).
- After January 1, you can start to fill out a FAFSA application, which will qualify you for financial aid from the government.
